KEEP CALM

conception, stage design and direction Michel Schweizer

What if the speech changed? If children did not question the adults but started to ask about the respective places that they and we hold in the world and in our worlds. KEEP CALM is about inviting children aged from 10 to 13 to gather for a creative activity that will lead to a performance for an all-adult audience. It is about accompanying the children to think about three questions about the level of their knowledge of their situation in the (their) world and the relation they have with the adults’ world. It starts a composing work led through a series of workshop that end in the creation of three ideal lists for each of the three questions, lists that are made in common, negotiated and shared by all the children. During a performance, the three lists will be presented through role-playing and a technical device that will start a true face to face child/adult
